Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Prepare for asbestos removal
- Identify asbestos types
- Plan and organise work
- Remove equipment (maintenance and use)
- Use safety equipment (limitations and maintenance)
- Set up site for removal
- Remove asbestos
- Decontaminate and demobilise
- Dispose of asbestos
Course Objectives
This program is designed to train construction workers to be able to safely handle and/or remove asbestos below the quantities requiring Licensing. It is designed to provide workers with general knowledge and does not give - nor is it designed to provide workers with sufficient information and training to remove asbestos that is friable. It is strongly advised that "Asbestos Identification and Awareness" be completed prior to/or included at the time of this program.
