CITB Sector Committees

The CITF Act stipulates that the CITB Board must establish and maintain a committee in relation to each sector of the building and construction industry (being Commercial, Civil and Housing).

Functions of the committees are to:

1. Represent the interests of its particular sector in relation to the management of the Fund; and
2. Advise the Board on the allocation of money from the Fund for the benefit of its particular sector; and
3. Advise the Board on any other matter from the Fund for the benefit of its particular sector; and
4. Carry out other functions determined by the Board.

Sector Committees are responsible for providing feedback and advice:

• in relation to sector training requirements (accredited and non-accredited) for consideration in the annual training plan.
• to the Board regarding research and innovation activities that will benefit the sector.
• workforce attraction and retention strategies.

Sector Committee Members

Sector Committees are made up of industry associations, employee representatives, and industry practitioners.
