To book into driving lessons you will need to provide to the driving instructor your:
- Full Name
- CITB Number
- Proof of approved application (your approval email)
The driving instructor will invoice CITB directly for your lessons

Need to complete logbook hours or need some practice to increase your confidence?
L2P Drive with me is a volunteer mentoring service for Learner Drivers. L2P mentors provide coaching and mentoring to help you increase your driving confidence, practice the skills you learn during your formal driving lessons, and help fill the logbook with practical driving sessions in a variety of directions, road conditions, and distances.

Are L2P sessions the same as driving lessons?
No, L2P session are not driving lessons, they are coaching and mentoring sessions that give you a chance to practice your driving skills, gain confidence, and complete logbook hours.
Who are the L2P driving mentors?
L2P driving mentors are volunteers who have gone through a screening process and training with L2P. They all hold current Working with Children checks and have received training on how to operate the L2P cars, which are fitted with left hand brakes.
There are male and female mentors.
How long is an L2P coaching and mentoring session?
L2P coaching and mentoring sessions are up to two hours in duration. You are able to stop for breaks during the session.
How many L2P coaching and mentoring sessions will CITB pay for?
1 hour of formal driving lessons are equivalent to 5 L2P coaching and mentoring sessions.
If you are eligible for up to 3 hours of driving lessons, you can book a maximum of 5 L2P sessions (equivalent to 1 hour of driving lessons).
If you are eligible for up to 10 hours of driving lessons, you can book a maximum of 20 L2P sessions (equivalent to 3 hours of driving lessons).
Do I need a car?
No. L2P provide the car for your coaching and mentoring session. All cars are fitted with left hand brakes.
