Women Thrive!

CITB is seeking applications from women in their first and second year of a construction apprenticeship to take part in a 3-month self-leadership program delivered by Generation Thrive.

The program aims to empower and up-skill young women with skills for success in their careers and to build a thriving construction workforce.

The 12 week Personal Leadership Program includes:

  • 1.5 hours per week working through the program tools, activities, videos and learning.
  • 4 x 30 minute individual online coaching sessions tailored to your needs and to help you achieve your goals.
  • 4 x 1 hour facilitated group workshops to enhance social learning and networking opportunities.

Program cost is $1,250 per person (fully subsidised by CITB).

Applications close on Wednesday 21st of June.

How long is the program and when does is start?

Program will be delivered over 12 weeks, and will start in July.

Where will the program be delivered and is travel required?

TBC. Metro area.

What are the eligibility requirements to apply for the program?

Applicants will:

  • Be registered with CITB as a first year or second year apprentice.
  • Have foundational English language and computer skills.
  • Have regular access to a computer and internet to complete the weekly online learning components.
  • Be able to travel and attend group workshops (they will commence later in the day but may require some time off work).
  • Have an interest to develop and enhance self-leadership skills so that they can better lead themselves to success throughout their career.
Is there a cap of participants?

Registrations will be limited to 20 participants and selection will be based on your capacity to complete the program.

I have regular access to a computer or other suitable device and the internet?
I will attend each of my online individual coaching sessions, group workshops and set aside 1.5 hours per week to complete the online learning?
I commit to attending and contributing to group sessions; and be respectful to other group members so that everyone can achieve their goals.
I have confirmed with my employer/host employer, and they support my participation in this program that may include group workshops during business hours (this will be kept to a minimum)?
