Providing up-to-date training and competency thus ensuring safe systems of work, plant and structures. If you are an in-experienced worker, you will need to undertake the full unit of competency. |

| Prerequisites | Learners must be 18 years of age. Ability to use and understand English and basic mathematical skills. Learners must be 18 yo, Machine assessments occur only when the participant can demonstrate competency, with a logbook, or signed declaration stating their machine experience or a 3rd party declaration from their employer with machinery operated and position/experience held. |

| Course Objectives | To provide training that will enable an operator to demonstrate "Duty of Care" to the National Guidelines for Work Health & Safety. Plan and Prepare for Backhoe Operation. (including conduct simple operation). Conduct Prechecks, Set up, Shutdown and Stow Plant Safely. |
