This program does not result in accreditation against a unit of competency.
Prerequisites
Be an elected HSR registered with Safe Work
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this program the participants will be able to:
- Interpret the WHS legislative framework and its relationship to the HSR
- Identify key parties, legislative obligations and duties
- Understand the role of a Health and Safety Representative within their work group, including participation in the resolution of work health and safety issues, risk management processes undertaken by the PCBU, issuing of Provisional Improvement Notices and directing cessation of unsafe work
Course Objectives
To meet the training requirements of a newly appointed Health & Safety Representative, the course provides HSRs with the skills & knowledge necessary to effectively represent their workgroups as required by the WHS Act SA 2013
