Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course the participant will be able to:
- Outline the legal responsibilities towards contractor personnel
- Describe the role of an WHS program in the operation and development of a WHS management system for contractors
- Recognise the essential features of an effective WHS policy
- Understand the need to assign responsibilities to those people with appropriate authorities to perform the required tasks
- Describe WHS responsibilities for typical organisational and contractor roles, and the requirements for standard work practices
- Identify the elements of an effective contractor WHS management system

Course Objectives

This program provides an understanding of the legal responsibilities of employers toward contractor personnel and of the processes that are necessary to manage WHS of Contractors.
