Section 3 - School Expectations

The below are commitments for schools to participate in the Learning by Design program. Please read through and check the box to indicate your agreement.

The school agree to:
·       Provide at least one class of year 7 to 9 students
·       Nominate at least two teachers (up to 5) to participate (if not today, before the information session at the end of term 4)
·       Release the nominated teachers for 2 x Professional Development Days in week 0 - 23rd or 24 January 2023 AND week 3 - 17 February 2023
·       Ensure there are contingencies in place if nominated teachers depart prior or during the program
·       Ensure students have devices, laptops, or desktop computers to complete the Challenge Courses (Makers Empire app will need to be installed on these devices)
·       Engage and collaborate with industry to authenticate the program
·       Participate in the showcase event either in person (preferred), by video submission or via online
·       Support the collection of data before, during and after the program from teachers and students
·       Acknowledge CITB doorways2construction on any promotional or marketing material including social media posts
·       Assist Makers Empire and CITB with the collection of data (e.g. surveys) before, during and after the program
