What is tradie2trainer?
Many industries and trade areas are struggling to attract employees, develop the next generation, retain older workers, capture and manage their knowledge base. Upskilling & retaining existing workers in the industry that would otherwise be lost along with their skills and experience.
The CITB’s tradie2trainer program seeks to attract existing workers from the building and construction industry by providing a qualification and career pathway in education and training. The tradie2trainer program benefits the industry by retaining vital skills, knowledge and experience while ensuring we are able to meet the needs of our training providers who are developing the next generation of workers.
Participants who successfully complete the tradie2trainer program will receive:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
- Training in Word, Excel, PowerPoint (if required)
- Work experience opportunities from CITB endorsed training providers
- A working with children check
