Prepare for an Apprenticeship

Register your interest in a free training program to develop skills in preparing for an apprenticeship.

The program is designed to equip potential apprentices with skills and abilities they need to access work. Participants are in a unique position to further their skillset and learn how to access apprenticeships and may be linked to employment opportunities.

Course topics focus on:

  • Trade skills including carpentry, brick and block laying.
  • Site induction procedures
  • Elevated work platform use.
  • First aid
  • Employability skills

Participants will undertake two weeks of work placement with an employer.

Training will be undertaken at ATEC (Adelaide Training & Employment Centre), Grand Junction Road, Ottoway in February 2018.

Information sessions, interviews and course dates will be emailed to interested persons.

Participants must be 17 years or over, not enrolled at school, unemployed or working 17 hours or less per week, be an Australian resident.
