FAQs
Where do I find my Approval Letter from Traineeship and Apprenticeship Services (TAS)?
You will receive an Approval Letter from Traineeship and Apprenticeship Services (TAS) directly when your contract has been approved. CITB does not have access to this until you provide it.
My registration was declined. Why?
Common reasons:
- Missing or incorrect training contract upload
- Employer not registered with CITB
- Eligibility criteria not met
What to do:
- Review the declined email instructions carefully
- Correct missing information and reapply if needed
My training balance looks incorrect.
First check:
- Recent training may not yet be updated
Important points to note:
- Annual cap is $3,000 (2026)
- This is a subsidy balance, not a cash amount
I can’t find my training contract number or details.
First check:
- Your Skills SA training contract document
- Your employer or training coordinator
Common issue:
- Incorrect contract number entered during registration
I can’t see my CITB number. Where is it?
Go to your Profile section in FundHub. Your personal CITB number is displayed there. Depending on your account type, your organisation’s CITB number may also be shown.
My work equipment voucher claim is missing. What should I do?
First check:
- That you are eligible (are you a first-year apprentice AND have you completed your probation period)
- If the voucher option appears in your dashboard
If after these checks you are still unable to view your voucher claim:
- You may not yet meet eligibility criteria
- Wait until eligibility is confirmed or updated
I can’t see my course history. Why?
First check:
- That the course you are searching is a CITB funded course, as only CITB-funded courses will appear in FundHub
- The course has been marked as completed by the provider
If missing:
- The course may not be CITB-funded
- Completion may not have yet been recorded
My employer isn't showing when I register with CITB
Confirm with your employer that they are registered with CITB and that you are using the correct ABN. Check for spacing or typing errors. If they are registered and still do not appear, contact CITB.
I can’t log in after receiving my approval email.
First check:
- You are using the correct email or CITB number
- That your temporary password is copied exactly (including special characters)
If you are still unable to log in:
- Use “Forgot password” on login screen
- Contact CITB only if you cannot access the email linked to your account.
My Work Equipment Voucher claim was submitted but I haven’t received anything.
After you submit your Work Equipment Voucher request, CITB reviews the request and will contact you to arrange the voucher. If it is delayed, check your contact details are correct in your FundHub profile.
I can’t register as an apprentice. What’s wrong?
First check whether you have previously registered with CITB in TALAS. If so, you do not need to register again. If you are registering for the first time, check your employer’s ABN is correct, your Skills SA training contract details are accurate, your training contract document is uploaded, and all required fields marked (*) are complete. Your employer must already be registered with CITB for your registration to be approved.
My apprenticeship registration was submitted but I didn’t get a response.
First check:
- To see if you have received your confirmation email (including spam/junk folder)
- Whether all required fields and documents were submitted
What happens next:
- CITB reviews your eligibility
- If approved, you will receive an email with a temporary password and instructions to log in
If nothing arrives:
- Wait for processing time, then contact CITB with your registration details
I entered the wrong employer ABN. What should I do?
If your registration is still in progress, correct the employer ABN before submitting. If you have already submitted it, contact CITB for assistance. Your employer’s ABN must match CITB records exactly.
Why is there a staged transition?
The staged transition protects continuity for existing Apprenticeship Training Subsidy claims while short course subsidies, personal accounts, new applications and other claims move into FundHub.
What can apprentices do in FundHub?
Apprentices can manage their details, view course history, check their annual short course subsidy balance and apply for a Work Equipment Voucher if eligible.
How does FundHub help apprentices?
It simplifies access to training support and funding so apprentices can focus on developing skills and progressing in their careers.
I have changed employers, will this affect my CITB number?
If any of your details change, including changing employers, you will need to renew your CITB number to update this information.
What can I get with my CITB number?
Your CITB number will give you access to up to $3,000 in short course training fee subsidies, each financial year.
You may also be eligible to apply for the Tool Voucher.
I have just started an apprenticeship, how do I sign up with CITB?
You will need to apply for a CITB number or if you have had a CITB number before you will need to renew it. Please ensure you select the apprentice option and have you employer ABN ready, as you will need to enter this into your application.
