To make an Apprenticeship Training Subsidy claim, does the employer need to provide one payslip before the end of the claim period or all payslips for the quarter?
In order to have an Apprenticeship Training Subsidy claim successfully reviewed, the employer (direct or GTO) must provide one payslip covering the end date of the claim period.
Is my FundHub login the same as our TALAS login?
No. There are different logins required for each system.
What do we do if there are variations to Apprentice contracts?
Please contact CITB directly for assistance with contract variations.
I can’t reconcile my payment. What should I do?
Use the Claim ID, not the invoice number, to reconcile payments. Check the Paid Claims list in FundHub and match the Claim ID to the Claim IDs in your remittance email. Wait until the status changes to Paid before reconciling.
I have a claim available, but can't submit it?
If you have a claim ready to submit, first check that all required evidence has been uploaded.
If the apprentice is not linked correctly, follow up with them before contacting CITB.
My payment is delayed. What should I check?
First check:
- Claim status is “Payment Pending” or “Paid”
- Claim ID matches remittance email
- Payment is processed weekly (may not be immediate)
If you still have not received your payment:
- Contact CITB with your Claim ID
My apprentice or worker is not showing in FundHub. What should I do?
First check:
- They are registered with CITB
- Their training contract is active (apprentices only)
- They have used your organisation’s ABN when registering
If you are still unable to view your apprentice or worker:
- Ask the apprentice or worker to confirm their registration details, they may need to update their details with CITB
- Confirm with your internal admin that ABN details are correct
I can’t submit a claim. What is wrong?
First check:
- Has the payslip been uploaded
- Do the claim/s relate to the correct period
- Is the apprentice is listed in FundHub
- Are the bank details correct
If you are still unable to submit a claim:
- The claim may not yet be “ready” in the system
- Wait for the claim status to become available
Contact CITB if:
- The claim shows errors after all steps are completed
I entered wrong bank details. What do I do?
If you have not submitted the claim, update your bank details in FundHub before claiming payment. If a claim has already been submitted, is Payment Pending or has been marked Paid, contact CITB as soon as possible with the Claim ID and your organisation details. Check bank details carefully before submitting future claims.
My payment hasn’t arrived. What should I check?
First check:
- If the claim status is Paid (not “Submitted” or “Payment Pending”)
- That you have matched the Claim ID, not invoice number
- That your bank details are correct in FundHub
If all of these items are confirmed and correct:
- Contact CITB with your Claim ID
How are ATS claims processed in FundHub?
FundHub uses structured processes and defined evidence requirements to help ensure ATS claims are complete, consistent and ready for accurate assessment.
Which system should I use for Apprenticeship Training Subsidy claims?
Which system you should use is determined by the apprentice’s training contract commencement date:
- Apprentices starting on or after 1 January 2026 → use FundHub
- Apprentices starting before 1 January 2026 → continue using TALAS
Will I need to provide more information for ATS claims?
Some additional information may be requested upfront so CITB can assess claims accurately and consistently and reduce rework later.
What does FundHub mean for employers?
Employers can register their business, view linked apprentices and construction workers, submit apprenticeship funding claims, and track payments in one system.
Where can I view payment and claim information?
To reconcile a payment, log in to FundHub and open the Paid Claims area. Check the Claim IDs listed in your remittance email or invoice, then match them to the Claim IDs shown in FundHub. Use the Claim ID, not the invoice number, when reconciling payments. Once payment has been processed, the claim status will show as “Paid”.
How do I know if my business is registered with CITB?

How will I know when I am due for a CITB claim?
When you are due for a claim from CITB, you will always receive an email notification letting you know to log into your Employer Dashboard.
How do I get my new apprentice registered for CITB funding?
When taking on a new apprentice, get them to apply for a CITB number. If they have had a CITB number before they will need to renew it. In both cases, ensure they select the apprentice option and enter your ABN in the employer details section.
My apprentice already has a CITB number, why can't I see them on my dashboard?
You will need your apprentice to renew their CITB number via the CITB website, ensure they select the apprentice option and enter in your ABN in the employer details section. This will link them to your business in our system for claiming.
Am I responsible for paying my apprentices Trade School fees?
Yes. This is set out in the Building and Construction, Electrotechnology and Plumbing awards. For further information visit fair work. It is also a condition of funding if you are claiming the Apprentice Training Support (ATS) funding from CITB that you are paying for your apprentices trade school fees.
Can my apprentices’ complete other short courses while they are in training?
Yes, apprentices can undertake any of the short courses offered by CITB and receive up to $3,000 in subsidies.
